This weekend we thought it best to fill everyone’s hearts with magic and wonder now that autumn seems to be arriving on our doorstep. Grab a cosy blanket and a mug of hot chocolate and settle into the weekend with Howl’s Moving Castle.

Sophie is a sweet 18-year-old girl who works in her mother’s hat shop. After receiving a curse from the Witch Of The Wasteland that turns her into an old woman, Sophie, embarrassed by her new looks, leaves town to roam the hills and contemplate how to rid herself of the cruel spell. Sadly she is unable to disclose her plight and so is seemingly doomed to spend the rest of her life at an accelerated age. Enter the young wizard, Howl, and his very strange, moving castle. Howl is a bit of a recluse and a bit of a mess. He is very handsome and very green in the ways of magic. His abode is full of passengers, one of which notices Sophie’s curse right away and promises to help her, but at a price. Calcifer, the fire spirit, is bound to Howl via a contract that he cannot break alone. Sophie, unsure of the true workings of the deal, stay onboard to find out more and learns about herself along the way. Mystery, drama, love and wonder are the keywords of this beautiful film! We hope you enjoy thoroughly.
