feature: Things to do in 2019!
As we slowly start approaching mid-January, many of us are probably thinking a lot about our next move. Here's our list of fun things to do in 2019. Summer is literally around the corner, so of course we can start talking the greatness it will be! Why not. From sunshine surfing destinations to our favourite terrarium shop in South London, you're not going to be bored in 2019, we can assure you that!
Exercise your comfort zone and face your fears. Bouldering, rock climbing, hiking trips and surfing, being brave often goes hand-in-hand with getting fit and healthy. Whether you’ve turned your attention to self-care resolutions or getting 'fit and healthy' type ones. This idea definitely merges the two! We’re heading out to the coast between the waters of Portugal and Poole for our surfing fix and hiking opportunities. If you're a beginner be sure to check out organised surf camps organised by The Magnet Project based out of the beautiful and perfect waves of Portugal. Residents can live, eat and pray surfing with package deals featured on their website here.
Ditch the UK for festivals in the sun, including Primeriva in Barcelona and Governors Ball in New York. Although the organisers for Governors Ball have been slowly releasing details of the line up for the Urban Jungle-esque festival straight out of New York City, Brockhampton and Blood Orange have been recently added to the list, along ith SZA and Vince Staples. Governors Ball is located in Randall's Island Park from 31 May - 2 June 2019 and tickets start from $305 for a 3-day pass for the festival. Find all the ticket packages here.
Feel the heat without breaking the bank. Primavera is a top win for European music festival fans and as it's hosted in Barcelona, you won't have to fork out much for a great festival in the sun. With the HUGE line-up already annouced and the early bird tickets out the door, we're super excited about this one! Top artists are set to headline, with the likes of Erykah Badu, Solange, Rosalía and Tame Impala leading the way. Prima Festival runs between May 30 to June 1 at Barcelona, Spain‘s Parc del Fòrum. Payment plans, VIP and Full entry tickets are available through www.festicket.com!
Do it yourself. Whether it’s candles, flower arrangements or little home renovations, try going it alone whilst getting the fulfilment of learning some new and crafty. Pottery classes are all the rave, but if you nailed this craft in 2018, maybe terrarium making could be next on your list. Our friends at London Terrariums hold workshops in various locations across London, but if you're just looking to spruce up your home and meet some friendly faces, be sure to check out the store based in New Cross. You can find a list of all their upcoming workshops here.
