Aries, or Aries Arise, was born in 2010 when director, Sofia Prantera, and illustrator, Fergus Percell, paired to create a unisex concept that hailed streetwear and sub-cultures and used repurposing methods to stand against waste. Today, the brand continues to create unisex clothing that celebrates its routes sustainability, trash culture, and outsider art and illustration and that is free from high-street and seasonal constraints.

The Aries Arise collection features expressive, graphic-stamped t-shirts and tracksuits, most recognisably the column logo, which is a homage to Sofia’s Italian heritage and a playful twist on luxury fashion houses. The colour fabrications that are unanimous throughout Aries’ clothing have been inspired by subcultures, namely the 90s rave and 80s punk cultures. This sense of ‘the outsider’ gives Airies Arise’s collection, which offers denim, hoodies, scarfs, caps, bags and beanies, a sense of being ‘one of a kind’- a uniqueness.

In fashion, where trends come and go, Aries Arise stands as a testament to the legacy of Italian craftsmanship and its dedication to quality. With 90% of its products manufactured in Italy, Sofia’s home country, the brand promotes the relationship between the garments and the skilled workers who bring them to life. Aries boasts a ‘personal relationship’ with each of their garments which are all crafted as a labour of love infused with a personal touch. Sofia's deep fascination with hand dyeing, printing and hand-finished garment construction has been passed on to the people behind Aries’ production process. They understand the intricacies of design and make each piece with meticulous attention to detail. From selecting the finest raw materials to the final stitch, every step is guided by a commitment to excellence.

Along with its commitment to quality and craftsmanship, Aries’ mission is to make clothing that transcends seasons, trends and fleeting fads meaning each garment is designed to be worn- and still look good- far into the future. The commitment to the longevity of their clothes is only one part of Aries’ sustainability focus. By producing garments to order in smaller quantities and sourcing the best materials available, Aries Arise reduces waste and minimises its environmental footprint. But sustainability isn't just about protecting the planet. Aries invests in local factories, preserves traditional techniques, and has transparent ethical practices. In fast fashion, where profit is often prioritised over people, Aries Arise stands out as having authenticity and integrity.
