Bulletin: That '70s runner - the Nike Daybreak
Now, usually when we are asked to recommend a brilliant, everyday sneaker, the Nike Daybreak is one of our go-to picks. A stunning sneaker to get you about town, the Daybreak was originally released in 1979 and was created for the serious runner. Because of the low profile, there was plenty of room for ankle mobility. Its nylon upper allowed for a lightness that aided in the reduction of foot fatigue, and the suede overlays on the toe and heel assured the wearer of long lasting. The now iconic waffle tread commanded the streets, giving the runner stability and reassurance. Worth a mention also are the fun colour-ups the daybreak was released in that gave the wearer variety and added a bit of jazz to their step.
More than 30 years on and The Daybreak is still a fan favourite in popularity contests. Nike have only added more to this classic and this release is a prime example. Featuring classic characteristics alongside new ones, the Nike Daybreak SP still provides you with the same answers - comfortable, lightweight and perfect for everyday.
Availble in two colourways a teal tint/midnight navy/jade aura/sail and a topaz gold/cedar/lemon wash/summit white.
