behind the sneakers: @elliebethth
We caught up with Ellie to discuss her approach to styling, the world of content creation, and the ongoing challenges women face in the sneaker community.
Hi Ellie, Its great to have you here! so lets start off What first sparked your passion for sneakers?
Hey, thank you for having me! I first started getting into sneakers when I was around 16. I’m not sure how I got into sneakers but absolutely LOVED how Lily Allen styled her outfits so I guess it went from there and that’s how I got my style.

So what’s favourite silhouette and why?
It has to be the air max 90. It’s the first style of sneaker I started wearing so I guess they’ve always stood out for me. The am90 often have bright colours and designs and that’s the style I love.
We absolutely love your use of patterns, colours and textures what’s your process of constructing these fits?
I always start by picking which pair of sneakers I want to wear that day and choose an outfit with the same patterns and colours. I honestly don’t think that much into it and just pick whatever I want to wear!
What’s your holy grail?
The Air Max 90 Dizzee Rascal ‘Tongue N Cheek’. I just know I will never get them in my size!
What challenge’s do you think women still face in the sneaker community?
The main challenge I have come across is that not all shoes come in female sizing. I have definitely seen more women sizing recently but feel it would be great if sneakers were inclusive of all sizing.

For any aspiring female sneaker content creators just starting out, what general advice would you give them?
Just put yourself out there. I was never going to start posting my sneakers and fits on instagram as I was nervous but my partner pushed me to do it and I’ve never looked back. I have loved being able to chat with other creators with the same interests and would encourage others to take that step if it’s something they are thinking of doing.
