FAQs
-
Backpacks, a tote and a bike bottle bag. The Buckden is a roll top, the Cautley is a flap-over, the Lammer is an 18-litre tote, and the Keasden is a small pouch that straps to a bike or a bag.
-
Elliker says 100% recycled polyester, GRS certified, with a polyurethane coating to resist water. The fabric is closer to a workwear weight than a lightweight nylon, and it's finished with reinforced seams and hard-wearing zips.
-
Water-resistant rather than waterproof. The coating sheds showers and keeps a bag dry on a wet bench or a damp floor, but an hour of steady rain will find its way in, so keep a laptop in its own sleeve.
-
The way they open. The Buckden is a roll top, which adjusts to what you're carrying and keeps rain out of the opening. The Cautley has a flap and fastening, which is faster to get into if you're in and out of the bag through the day.
-
Carrying a bottle within reach on a bike. It straps to the frame, a bag strap or a belt loop, and it's just as useful for keys, a phone and the small things you'd rather not lose in the bottom of a rucksack.

East Keswick in Yorkshire, north of Leeds. The brand takes its name from Elliker Fields, a local wildlife site, and several models, the Buckden, Cautley and Keasden among them, are named after places in the Yorkshire Dales.
