Puma reinvents the classic rs-0 runner
Newly launched from Puma, the RS-0 running shoe becomes the first to drop from the all-new RS series. Looking back to the mid 80’s for inspiration Puma bring new life to the RS-0, but with a few modern adjustments.
The RS (RS for running shoe) family began in 1986. The first trainer from the RS series introduced cushioning technology that supported the demand for high-tech stability runners of the time. The RS-100 trainer was shortly followed by the RS Computer Shoe, which became the very first analytical shoe with a built-in computer chip that automatically recorded the time, distance and calories expended by the wearer.
Cut to 2018 and Puma has reinvented the RS family, drawing elements that show nostalgia of the past alongside the allure of the future, re-booting the RS design to a whole new level. The RS-0 introduction model pays homage to PUMA’s iconic Archive Green colourway, with a feature amongst the heel tab detailing. The re-invention of the model also features a black and white leather upper, padded collar and PUMA R-SYSTEM technology for cushioning.
