‘Attitude is everything.’- Universal Pictures

It’s New York City’s ‘Drag Queen Of The Year’ contest and Noxeema Jackson (Wesley Snipes) and Vida Boheme (Patrick Swayze) tie for first place. Their prize is an airfare each to travel to LA and compete in the ‘Miss Drag Queen Of America’ pageant. Before leaving, Vida convinces Noxeema to allow the novice ‘drag princess’, Chi-Chi Rodriguez (John Lequizamo) to come on the journey with them as their protégé. Reluctantly Noxeema agrees and the two women cash their airfares with their friend, John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt (Robin Williams) to purchase a 1967 Cadillac DeVille Cadillac to make the trip cross country. All seems well until they are pulled over by Sheriff Dollard (Chris Penn) who hurls racial slurs at Noxeema and forces Vida out of the car. As he tries to force himself on her, he realises she is a man and Vida’s reaction is a punch that sends him flying. Chi-Chi checks his vitals and declares Dollard dead, prompting the women to flee and leave the body. But as they stop to take a breather and recover, their car decides to breakdown in the middle of nowhere. Luckily, local resident of nearby town Snydersville, Bobby Ray (Jason London), offers the women a ride to the local mechanic. They are put up in the town’s bed and breakfast run by Carol Ann (Stockard Channing) and her abusive repairman husband, Virgil (Arliss Howard) What ensues is a weekend stay that transforms the lives of the folk who reside there as well as the three women themselves! With a sheriff chasing them, local roughnecks assaulting them and their newfound desire to transform the women of the town, it’s unknown if they will ever make it to LA to compete! You’ll have to settle in and see how all turns out in this riotous comedy.
